You work hard so it’s nice to have a place to come home to where you can relax, play and enjoy your leisure time. Everyone loves to have amenities and at CityView we have an amenities list that will make you feel as if you were on vacation everyday. Now that’s something to look forward to! Loft living is a very hot topic these days, especially in Kansas City. With the revitalization of Downtown and the popularity of the ever growing Power & Light District, the allure of urban living in Kansas City is stronger than ever. With the recent challenges of the economy, workdays seem to be longer and more demanding which makes our downtime even more important. If you like the downtown scene but could do without the traffic and the expense you’re in luck!
One of Kansas City’s best kept secrets for Condo and Loft living is in the heart of North Kansas City, less than 5 minutes from the downtown scene. CityView affords you the lifestyle and amenities you want without the high price tag. It’s like a village within a town within a city. As the location is so close to downtown, you can enjoy all of the great new dining and entertainment venues without having to venture far from home. Now isn’t that convenient?
Our quick tour of downtown living will start at your pad at CityView, and take you through a few of the great things you can experience just a hop, skip and a jump away!
1. Being so close, you could always take a cab but what if you want to drive downtown? Where should you park? Choices abound but, you might want to consider doing a little grocery shopping at Cosentino’s Downtown Market. They have a parking garage located on Main Street (entrance between 12th & 13th St) where you can park and have your ticket validated if you purchase something from the store. Check out their gourmet deli and bakery selections or just buy a bottle of water. Not only do you get to experience one of the coolest grocery stores in the metro, your parking will be covered. (make sure you check with the attendant to see if there is a time restriction on how long you can park, and make sure they know you’re going to the grocery!)

2. If you’re looking for some interesting dining or nightlife all you have to do is take a walk around the Power & Light District. There are some really wonderful choices for food to suit any palette and mood. Plus if you are interested in the nightlife, there are a variety of clubs and hot spots that cater to a variety of interests from sports to music (hard rock, country, salsa…you name it.) or you can check out the entertainment that is often to be found on the KC Live! stage at the center of the district. There are plenty of other terrific places to eat and shop downtown. The Downtown Kansas City Council has some great resources online to help you pick where to go, what to see and what to eat!
3. Want to catch movie? Get ready for the ultimate in Kansas City movie theaters at the AMC Mainstreet. Reserve your seat in the Cinema Suites and enjoy plenty of room to recline, plus dinner and drinks brought to your seat and of course, the movie. You’ll never want to go back to a regular movie theater again!

We are very excited to introduce you to our new blog where you can find out all the great things we have for you to experience when you’re living the urban dream at CityView. All too often, we hear from people who want to live in Downtown Kansas City but are hesitant about things like cost, traffic, and parking.
